I honestly believe the dip and shake was at least part responsible for my shoulder trouble late last year.

Thanks for your kind comments about my figures too and I am really looking forward to meeting you posties in June. We are now only taking reserve places for traders and clubs but have two reserves already.Leofwine Wargamersonhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09793737318401615556noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4049833607758520037.post-86513475269979087742012-03-29T10:07:28.099+01:002012-03-29T10:07:28.099+01:00I'm a dip lunatic but I paint mine on more now...I'm a dip lunatic but I paint mine on more now to get a lighter or heavier effect, nice work and like Ray I'm also a Reject and look forward to Broadside! The Angry Lurkerhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01227314379603418332noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4049833607758520037.post-20092866556756404952012-03-28T14:15:55.027+01:002012-03-28T14:15:55.027+01:00Hi Ray,

I can confirm that the strong tone does tend to look darker but, as I mentioned in the post, I think some of this is down to the base colour matching the dark tone shade. The strong tone is dark, perhaps deep is a less confusing term, and does tend to leave what could be called 'dirty' patches on flater areas. I have to say that I am leaning towards the dark tone for a few upcoming projects but practise makes perfect. A few spare figures given simple block colour base coats will provide a bit of practise and a lot of experience. Dipping and Splashing on will produce quite different results too...my method of dipping works for me but is a killer on the arm joints! I have also lost a couple of figures too, as previous posts will attest; doesn't tend to happen with the splashing on method.Leofwine Wargamersonhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09793737318401615556noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4049833607758520037.post-680851946380473232012-03-27T19:20:48.832+01:002012-03-27T19:20:48.832+01:00Interesting? I like the look of the dark tone dip in the first pic, but the strong tone dip (third figure)looks to be darker, is it just the pic or is it darker?Ray Rousellhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07352596392520905197noreply@blogger.com
